Select the Perfect Glass for Every Wine

Choosing the right wine glass can transform your drinking experience. For full-bodied reds like Cabernet Sauvignon, opt for a large-bowled Bordeaux glass. For lighter reds like Pinot Noir, a Burgundy glass with a wider bowl is best. White wine glasses are typically smaller to keep the wine cool. Our collection includes all these styles and more. Don’t know where to start? Our best-selling Pure Burgundy glasses are a favorite among enthusiasts. And for a complete bar, consider our sets that combine multiple glasses.

For full-bodied red wines, choose a large-bowled glass (e.g., Bordeaux) to allow more oxygen to reach the wine. For lighter reds like Pinot Noir, use a Burgundy glass with a wider bowl. White wines are best served in smaller glasses with a narrower bowl to preserve their delicate aromas and lower temperatures.
A standard pour is about 5 ounces (150 ml). Fill the glass to the widest point of the bowl, which is typically about one-third full. This allows room to swirl the wine and release its aromas.
For port wine, use a small, tulip-shaped glass (about 4-5 oz). For grappa, use a small, snifter-like glass to concentrate the aromas. Cognac is best in a snifter or balloon glass that you can warm in your hand. Whiskey is served in a rocks glass or a Glencairn glass for nosing.
Common cocktail glasses include martini (V-shaped), highball (tall), rocks (low), and coupe (shallow). Use a martini glass for stirred cocktails, a highball for mixed drinks with ice, a rocks glass for drinks over ice cubes, and a coupe for champagne or classic cocktails like a Sidecar.
